FinTech Speaker Forum – Hong Kong as FinTech Hub?
The FinTech Speaker Forum was chockful of questions, dialogues and discussions as successfully facilitated by Yannick our class of 2016 alumnus. The 4 influential speakers furnished their personal views on how the FinTech ecosystem has disrupted the traditional banking players by offering engaging solutions to both B2B and B2C users. Hong Kong has been uniquely placed as the FinTech hub in terms of its location, infrastructure and talents. Domain knowledge, passion, first-rate communication skills and being innovative are key requirements for talents to enter and develop in the dynamic FinTech arena. Spring Special Trip to Osaka
A group of MBA students and alumni caught the beautiful moment of cherry blossoms in the Osaka study trip from April 12 - 15, 2017. This trip was led by Dr. Veronica Li, Associate Director of MBA programs to understand Japanese business environment and culture. We visited to Peach Aviation Limited, Panasonic Corporation and the Kyocera Group which feature the new and traditional Japanese business styles. The sharing by management teams and company tours gave an eye-opening experience to our participants. We were delighted to be in a good timing to witness Japan’s iconic Sakura (cherry blossoms) blanketing the country in soft and colorful splendor. 
AXA's HR Sharing Session by MBA Global Career Club
AXA's HR Sharing Session was organized by MBA Global Career Club on April 12, 2017. Mr. Shubhro Mitra, the Regional Chief HR Officer of AXA Asia and HR managers gave valuable advice to MBA students at i-Lounge, CUHK. 
Mr. Shubhro Mitra shared precious insights into the importance of non-technical skills and how the managers evaluate the candidates' soft skills. The event also provided students with useful tips on how to demonstrate and highlight non-technical skills during job interviews. Company culture and its impacts on employees were brought up for discussion too.
