Happy Hour Celebrates MBA Golden Jubilee

Happy Hour Celebrates MBA Golden Jubilee - 2

On Tuesday, 12 January, over 180 MBA alumni, students and faculty members gathered for a happy hour to celebrate the MBA’s 50th Anniversary. Organised by the Alumni and Corporate Affairs Office, the event was held at Liberty Exchange Kitchen & Bar in Exchange Square.

Prof. Michael Ferguson, Associate Dean (Graduate Studies) and MBA Program Director, greeted guests and led a welcome toast. Attendees chatted over snacks and drinks while senior alumni shared their experiences from a wide range of industries. Special thanks are due to Donald Fung, Senior Vice President and Regional Head of Local Corporate for Hong Kong and Southern China at Malayan Banking; Ivan Lee, partner of Iridium Capital Limited; Alice Li, Director of Marketing and Communications at Microsoft Hong Kong Limited; Ada Liu, Executive Vice President of Fung Kids (Management) Limited; and Thomas Wan, Director of TVC Investment Limited.

Attendees also participated in a lucky draw, the highlight of the evening. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the sponsors who provided wonderful prizes, including Raymond Lo, the President of the BBA Alumni Association and Director of Ethnos International Limited, who contributed exclusive ‘Sport b.’ clothes. Other items included cash coupons from Liberty Exchange Kitchen & Bar, as well as vouchers and towels from SKECHERS Hong Kong Limited.

The MBA Program moved up 4 places and is now no. 26 in the recently released Financial Times Global MBA Ranking 2016, making it among the top 4 MBA programs in Asia and the top 3 in Greater China. We are proud to be celebrating the MBA Program’s 50th Anniversary with this great achievement. We hope to see you at the next happy hour event, scheduled in May, where you can socialise and celebrate with fellow alumni!
