Re-joining MBA Course as an Entrepreneur

Led by Prof. Wilton Chau, four current MBA students and an alumnus participated in The mai Bangkok Business Challenge @Sasin 2015 held on Feb 12-14. After rounds of battles, they were awarded the Finalist prize among 48 universities and the Best Presentation of the Group. Mr. Wayne Chan, graduated from our Weekend MBA Program in 2013, rejoined our MBA class again as an entrepreneur and worked hand in hand with the students on investment pitching and business case competition. CUHK Ranks #30 in Financial Times Global MBA Ranking 2015
CUHK MBA Program has been ranked 30th in the Financial Times Global MBA Ranking 2015, as one of the top-ranked MBA programs in Asia.

We are especially glad that we are ranked No.19 globally and No.1 in Hong Kong in terms of career progress, indicating that the program is able to enhance its full-time graduates' employability and career advancement. In particular, the average salary of our surveyed graduates reached US$123,035 (HK$959,673) per annum three years upon their graduation, which signifies an increase of 125% over their pre-MBA salaries. This outstanding increase is best-ranked in Hong Kong and at the same time the 6th highest in the globe, which again demonstrates the significant impact of the program.
Elite Mentorship Program 2015 - Chinese New Year Dinner
CUHK MBA Full-time students celebrated the Chinese New Year of the Goat with their elite mentors and faculty members on the evening of Feb 27. Everybody had a fun and chatty evening and experienced the traditional Chinese crafts called 'Dragon Beard Candy' and 'Dragon & Phoenix writing'. Authentic Chinese dishes were served and they enjoyed a special table game of Chinese red banners matching. It was a joyful evening for mentors, students and faculty members.
A Fruitful & Rewarding 3-day Career Trek in Singapore
Organized by the Task Force of CUHK MBA Asia Business Club during 28-30 Jan, our inaugural Singapore Career Trek 2015 has successfully connected a group of 19 MBA students with 8 organizations(including Bloomberg, BNP Paribas, CIALFO, Citi, Cognizant, Mapletree, Microsoft and OCBC), diversely ranging from banking & finance, technology, business consulting, property capital investment & development, and start-up. It provided interactive platforms for our students to explore career opportunities, to understand the working environment and to build the useful network with local hiring managers, alumni, headhunters as well as peer MBA students from INSEAD, NUS, SMU & STU. All the concerted efforts facilitated the students with their next step in career development in Singapore. (More Photos)
The First Guangzhou Day Trip
19 MBA students joined our first Guangzhou Day Trip which was held on February 2, 2015 (Mon). Guangzhou is the main manufacturing hub of the Pearl River Delta, one of mainland China's leading commercial and manufacturing regions. It is our honor to visit GlobalMarket Group and TÜV Rheinland.

GlobalMarket Group is a listed leading Manufacturer-to-Business (M2B) e-commerce service provider that has developed an online market place to link international buyers with reputable Chinese manufacturers. Mr. HU Weiquan, CEO of the Group, gave a speech on the business development of GlobalMarket Group.

The TÜV Rheinland Group is a leading provider of technical services worldwide. There was a presentation conducted by Ms. Tina Jiang, Chief Operating Officer and Mr. Stephan Pesch, Vice General Manager, followed by the laboratory tour on the products testing.

E-device Collection Campaign Ends Successfully
The university-wide E-device Collection Campaign held from 27 to 30 January concluded fruitfully. A collaboration between CUHK Business School and AIA, this meaningful initiative promoted awareness of e-waste recycling and green living among the staff, students and alumni of the University. (More)
