Ambition - Trending with Ambition 1H 2015 - Where Are We Now?
Professional recruiters and team leaders from Ambition, an international recruitment firm, delivered a presentation on 1H 2015 job market and hiring trends,
covering Banking & Finance, Sales & Marketing, Technology and Supply Chain. A survey on the market and job seekers was conducted by the firm and several interesting findings indicate the current trends of career perspectives, job search behaviors an concerns of the professionals in Hong Kong. The Ambition team also shared their advice on how MBA talents should prepare and present themselves when it comes to job hunting. An interactive Q&A section allowed full-time and part-time students to get professional advice from these experienced recruiters. Students also grasped the opportunity to connect with these experienced recruitment consultants.

The CUHK MBA PE VC Panel Discussion 2015
The CUHK MBA PE VC Panel Discussion 2015 was hosted by PE VC Club at Town Center on April 10, 2015. PE VC Club's organizers (Marie Li, Derek Wong and Matthew Wan) collaborated with HKPEFA (Hong Kong Private Equity Finance Association), and MBA office, invited four experienced professionals, Mr. Jonathan Chee, Mr. Howard Ling, Mr. Vincent Fok and Mr. Stephen Tang as panelists and speakers. More than forty audiences from CUHK, HKUST, HKU, and other local schools attended this event, and gave highly positive feedbacks to the discussion. During the discussion, the panelists shared their insights and suggestions regarding two topics: Nurturing Investments at the Early Stages of Start-ups in Hong Kong, and New Generation of Equity Investment Industry. The CSR Wine Tasting Mini-Event
Co-hosted by The Chinese University of Hong Kong MBA CSR Committee 2015 and the Luxury and Retail Club, the CSR Wine Tasting Mini-Event was successfully held on the evening of Apr 9, 2015.

The purpose of this event was to serve as a relaxed teaser event for our main CSR Conference to be held on May 28th next month. The invited guests were comprised of Corporate Social Responsibility professionals, our supporters, our sponsors, our speakers and our generous mentors.

Through the gathering, guests exchanged thoughts on objectives and topics for our CSR initiative this year, while enjoying wine and canapés. (More Photos)

Technology Leaders Talk
On 25 March 2015, organized by Career Management Center, Miss Neha Kanotra, one of the recent alumni, facilitated a panel of two distinguished speakers who had great conversations with our future leaders on the values of leveraging technology. Mr. Babu, Head of Infosys, Hong Kong & Macau, inspired the MBA students with 3 Mantras with vivid examples. It was a great thrill that Dr. Charm, founder & chairperson, BI & Big Data SIG, Hong Kong Computer Society, introduced genuine cases of impactful innovative business models driven by Big Data and other disruptive technologies such as IOT and Cloud Technology. Many thoughtful questions from the participants put the panel discussion and Q&A to peak with blended chemistry! This inspiring and insightful talk encourages every one of us to take the first step and leverage technology to be a problem solver in today’s fast-changing world.

Shenzhen Alumni Network Hosts a Successful Financial Forum
The Shenzhen Alumni Network hosted the Shenzhen GEM and OTCBB Financial Forum on Saturday, April 25 in Shenzhen’s Futian District. Three senior alumni from the EMBA (Chinese) Program, who are experts in China’s capital markets, shared their knowledge and experience with over 60 fellow alumni and professionals coming from various sectors.
