Connect Story
Stephon Ho (Full-time, Class of 2015)
Executive Director, Goldman Sachs
Born in Hong Kong, Stephon Ho moved to Canada with his parents when he was only nine years old and grew up there. Throughout university and early parts of his career in finance, he served in the Canadian Forces as a military combat engineer reservist for six years. Having only enjoyed Asia on holidays so far, he wondered if he could fit in and decided to spend a year doing an MBA at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), rather than starting work right away. “I decided to do a full-time MBA first, to see if I liked to live here and could adapt. Student Clubs Day

On September 16, most of the MBA students gathered to support their fellow classmates on the Student Clubs Day. We were happy to learn that there are 11 student clubs this year. Each of the club set up the booths and presented their clubs plan to the class. Each club received overwhelming support from their classmates. We were delighted that they all enjoyed the small games and light refreshment.

1-on-1 Career Coaching Session
After a series of workshops in August, each student received an individualized 1-on-1 career coaching session with our CMC career advisors to discuss about their ambitions and planning. These sessions aimed at identifying skills, experience, competencies and market realities in relevance to their career development and planning during and after MBA.
This year we introduced 2-hour Job Search methodology and a planning tool which help students efficiently organize priorities and actions in relation not only to job search but also their knowledge and network in this part of Asia.
Students are welcomed to make further appointments with CMC for individual sessions throughout their CUHK MBA life and we wish all of them success.
