Initially trained as a computer engineer, Damien has been working as a Consultant in the Financial Data and Technology Industry, responsible for solving data challenges of COOs for quite some time. He then joined a start-up from the UK which was growing rapidly with business expanding into Asia and China. As one of the core members of the company, he saw himself lacking the view on the big picture of running a business. Seeing the need to piece things together, he decided to go for an MBA.

Great Day for MBA Aspirants on the MBA Experience Day 
It was no ordinary Saturday on 1 December as The MBA Experience Day took place at our Shatin campus.  A packed lecture theatre filled with over 100 MBA aspirants, all eager to find out more about our MBA programmes. The event was kickstarted by a master class on Leadership delivered by Professor Roger Levermore, followed by an overview of the programme and the curriculum.   One of the major highlights of the event was the sharing from 4 of our distinguished alumni and from our current students.  Lots of mingling and questions about the MBA journey through the networking session and the day ended nicely with a quick tour around the University.    
Chat with Marshall Jen, President of The Student Association
It was quite an enjoyable chat with Marshall trying to understand his role as the President of the MBA Student Association.  

Moving into his 2nd term, Marshall has been looking into building and deepening relationships with students.  He is making good use of his extensive connection and personal relationships, ie: Canadian Chamber and former US Governor etc, to bring on events that will be helpful and insightful for MBA students.   Being a student himself, he understands the need to increase opportunities for students to expose to investors, large companies and high-rank management.  

This year, events will be organised on a bi-weekly basis so students can know each other better.

In the pipeline includes a trip to the Greater Bay Area plus many more!

What a joyous evening @ The MBA Winter Ball 
Held at the Regal Riverside Hotel on 6th December, the MBA Winter Ball was one of the most anticipated events to end the Year 2018. Lots of fun and laughter accompanied by sumptuous food throughout the evening!
