CUHK MBA Programme, as one of the Global Top 50 MBAs and the longest established MBA programme in Asia, has nurtured prominent global leaders for the Asian Century. Our curriculum builds essential Finance, Entrepreneurship, Digital & Management skills for the digital era. It comprises six optional concentrations – Business Analytics, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Information and Technology Management, Finance, China Business and Marketing. We are also constantly seeking out and encouraging new ways of learning, thinking and engaging with the community, as a humanistic spirit has been one of CUHK’s core values.

At CUHK MBA, students will learn in-demand finance skills including financial reporting, investment management, mergers & acquisitions and venture capital/private equity, and the use of emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning and blockchain for financial applications.

Curriculum
- Full-time MBA
CUHK’s full-time MBA curriculum includes both core and elective courses. All core courses are taught full-time, while elective courses are arranged in the evening on weekdays or on weekends. Each academic year is divided into three regular terms plus an optional summer term. To graduate, students must successfully complete 51 units in as few as 12 months.
Alternatively, they may participate in a wide range of summer internships or world-wide exchange programs and extend their studies to 16 months. Students can also apply to study for a Dual MBA Degree Program with one of our three renowned partnering schools – HEC Paris, Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) and University of Texas at Austin.
- Part-time MBA
The Part-time MBA curriculum consists of core and elective courses. Each academic year is divided into three regular terms and a summer term. To graduate, part-time students are required to complete 45 units. The part-time curriculum normally takes 24 months to complete. To accommodate the busy working schedule of Part-time students, two study modes are made available for all core courses and some of the elective courses.
MBA Optional Concentrations
To tailor your MBA education for career acceleration and building expertise in a specific area, CUHK MBA will offer 6 optional concentrations in 2022-23.
Students may select either General MBA or up to two concentration options to complete the units of elective courses. Those choosing the concentration option(s) are required to complete 9 units of elective courses for each chosen concentration option(s).
- Business Analytics
To help students strengthen data-driven decision making and prepare them for driving innovation, Business Analytics concentration aims to enable students to make extensive use of data for identifying business insights, predicting market changes, and ultimately improving strategic decision making for organisations.

China Business concentration is designed to enable students to discover market opportunities in China by mastering China business knowledge and practical training about doing businesses in China.

Admissions
Admissions Requirements
- A recognised bachelor’s degree (normally with honours not lower than Second Class or an average grade of not lower than B grade); or completed a course of study in a tertiary educational institution and obtained professional or similar qualifications equivalent to a bachelor’s degree
- Minimum two years of full-time post-qualification work experience
- Fulfil English Language Proficiency Requirement
- Provide a satisfactory GMAT, GRE or Executive Assessment (EA) score
^ Applicants who obtained degrees from universities in Mainland China are required to provide an Online Verification Report of Higher Education Qualification Certificate (教育部學歷證書電子註冊備案表) issued by the CHESICC (學信網).
*GMAT/GRE/EA exemptions may be considered for applicants with at least seven years of work experience, subject to the approval from the Admissions Committee. EA is only applicable to those who apply for Part-time MBA.
