#7 Regional Trek – Hong Kong and Guangzhou

The LEAP Trek (GBA – Hong Kong and Guangzhou) #7 and Director Table (GBA) #3 & 4 took place from 20 to 24 February.
During the LEAP Trek in Hong Kong, participants visited several start-ups at HKSTP and enjoyed an alumni mixer event. The following day featured attendance at HKSTP’s AI in Action Career Day.
The Guangzhou part of the trek included a visit to the CHEMBA programme at Sun Yat-sen University. Professor Lin Daomi from the School of Management of Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou delivered a talk on “Entrepreneurship in China”, which provided insights into the evolution, current status, and future trends of entrepreneurship in China, drawing on her extensive research and practical experience.
After the talk, guests from various industries shared insightful perspectives during the Director’s Table. Mr Adrian Chen (MBA 2020) from CUHK and Mr Sam Law from CHEMBA discussed the impact of U.S.-China tariffs on cross-border e-commerce and provided key insights into the Chinese electric vehicle market.
Participants also had the opportunity to visit Liby Kysun Holdings Group and engage in the Director’s Table in the Business sector, featuring Mr Vincent Cheng (EMBA 2022), Director of Chinatone Supply Chain Limited, as the MBA Industry Master.
LEAP programme is a comprehensive learning journey beyond campus and beyond graduation, fostering engagement with our BEAM stakeholders. The LEAP Trek Series is one the LEAP’s serial initiatives, consisting of intensive and immersive field-study experiences at different global and Asian cites to explore industrial development, learn from the business transformation process in enterprises and meet business leaders in the Asian Century.
