Apart from learning about the business landscape in Thailand, we arranged activities to let students learn more about sustainable development and ESG trends. We visited Tropicana Oil, Qualy Design and Rock Engineering Co., Ltd. The Non-executive Director, Mr. Atushi Sugiyama, is our MBA alumnus! It was a great chance to have a reunion in Bangkok. The group treasured the discussion time with the teams to exchange ideas. It was insightful and engaging!

Tropicana Oil – Transform from coconut oil to a cosmetic product manufacturer.

Qualy Design  – Adopt the concept of circular economy, upcycling plastic to make new products with good design.

Rock Engineering – Mr. Atushi Sugiyama shared his experience in overcoming hardship during the pandemic for his sewage treatment machine business.

The trip offers an immersive experience for students to learn about the Changing Business Landscape along One Belt, One Road: Issues in Sustainability and Digital Transformation in Thailand. It was not only a business study trip but also a cultural exchange experience for all participants. We had a Student Mixer Event with Mahidol University International CollegeAsian Institute of Technology and Sasin School of Management. This couldn’t have happened without the support from the schools. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our partnering companies and schools for making this field trip a success!
