CUHK MBA Taiwan Study Trip 2015

Taiwan Study Trip 2015, led by Prof. Wilton Chau, ended successfully last week
Last week, Prof. Wilton Chau led a group of 39 CUHK MBA students to Taiwan for a 7-day study trip. This study trip was to focus on the topics of Entrepreneurship and Social Enterprise. Our students were given insights about the environment and obstacles that a startup, an enterprise and a social enterprise would probably encounter, especially in Taiwan.
“First, the company visits and university lectures equipped me with in-depth learning of how to think out of the box in order to understand and solve the problems faced by social enterprises. Second, I learnt more about Taiwan startups ecosystem and I got the chance to connect with entrepreneurs as well as professors.” by Fritz EFFENDI, Full-time Year 1 Student
“The stereotype in my mind that social enterprises are just kindness piled up by warm-hearted people is totally reversed. The way those entrepreneurs doing their business, their passion, and the benefits that they have created for the society have inspired me and moved me deeply. Just like what Professor Chau always says, think out of the box. If we want to be an entrepreneur, we need to think harder, moreover, think differently.” by Qian TANG, Full-time Year 1 Student
One of the highlight in this trip is the visit to the Asia University. In addition to the lectures, our students also enjoyed the cultural sharing and academic exchange with the students from Asia University during the campus tour.
