Sushi Roll Party by Japan Club

Japan Club organized the second annual event, Sushi Roll Party, at NPO Hong Kong Wakyokai Ltd. on November 11, 2017. We have also invited 3 exchange students to join to farewell them as well.

There were total 32 people joined and we formed 5 small groups. Ingredients are provided to each group, for example, different kind of fresh fishes (sashimi), salad, canned tuna with mayonnaise, egg, seaweed (nori) sheets and cooked rice. Participants started with mixing the cooked rice with vinegar to make sushi rice and then wrapped the rice with their favorite ingredients by using the seaweed sheets to make sushi rolls. With the help of our Japanese students in each group, we guide our participants to make their own authentic sushi, a traditional homemade dish of Japan.

Everyone enjoyed their new sushi making experience and had a wonderful day.
