The Warsaw Negotiation Round

The Warsaw Negotiation Round is an international negotiation tournament held on April 22-24, 2016 in Warsaw, Poland. It is one of the worldwide international negotiation competitions for students representing global leading law and business schools. There are 4 rounds in WNR. The Jury members are negotiation and communication experts and scenario planners. They graded according to the negotiation skills that the participants demonstrated and the terms of the agreement reached.

Our students Seiichi Kaneko, Jun Wang, Yuan Zhu and Tong Zhu (Class of 2017) formed a team representing CUHK MBA. In the 3-day competition, there were 12 teams from all over the world. Given a limited time, students had to effectively come up with a negotiation strategy. Based on the final terms agreed, our students ranked 2nd at the first round and 1st at the last round. Students experienced a huge difference between the west and east and this kind of competition provides them a platform to learn and prepare themselves for future multi-cultural work environment.
