CUHK MBA Field Trip to Berlin

CUHK MBA Field Trip to Berlin - 1

A group of MBA students embarked on a trip to Berlin where they got an opportunity to understand the development of entrepreneurship in Europe and how it linked to the China market. Our MBA students gained invaluable insights and perspectives through lectures delivered by local entrepreneurs and professors at ESMT. Highlight of the trip was a site visit to BMW.

This was where the journey started…

Lecture on Hidden Champions, Start-ups and more…

Sightseeing and visits…

Brandenburger Tor – A 18th Century neoclassical monument in Berlin. A site for major historical events and is today considered not only as a symbol of the tumultuous history of Europe and Germany, but also of European unity and peace.

Site Visit at BMW.

Q & A Session at the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office.

Group Photo in front of ESMT.

Last but not least………… the food & the beer, of course.

What our student has to say?

Adrian CHAN (Year 1 Part-time Student):

“This trip to Germany was very valuable and useful in my knowledge learning. It covered history, economic development, business models and sharing of star-up companies in Berlin. The speakers from ESMT and Humboldt University are famous in their research areas. Professor Olaf Plotner, in particular, is a well-known academic for his extensive understanding in hidden champions. He had two lectures with us. There were a lot of interactions and we were totally engaged in giving out our comments proactively.

I want to thank Professor Dominic Chan as well as ESMT for the excellent arrangements. It was definitely a great learning journey of the German economic development from 16th century to modern era.”
