Shaarang Begani (MBA 2021): How CUHK MBA Helped Me with a Career Change

Hong Kong has been one of the most sought-after destinations for international MBA aspirants for being a commercial hub and a melting pot of cultures. This combination made CUHK the perfect choice for Shaarang Begani; he managed a complete career transition into his dream job after his MBA.

Shaarang worked at a Big 4 firm and however hard he tried, getting a foot in the door in the consulting industry seemed extremely difficult without an MBA. That’s when he decided to go for an MBA to help facilitate a career change. After thorough research, he shortlisted Hong Kong as his MBA destination.

He chose one of the oldest MBA programs in Asia – CUHK Business School to pursue his MBA. The business school’s wide network of well-connected alumni working across industries, its excellent huge campus with hostel facilities and a school building with state-of-the-art facilities were the top reasons for his program choice. He also shared his class experience and some tips for MBA aspirants.

In a discussion with a leading MBA admissions consulting firm, Shaarang shares his MBA application journey and how the CUHK MBA experience helped him successfully land three internships and his dream job in management consulting.
